The Taste of Provence Captured in a Bottle!

This fresh and herbaceous French Grand Cru benefits from a wide aromatic power and a beautiful length on the palate with a typical peppery finish of Provence PDO oils, primarily made from Aglandau olives. The Gerbaud estate is a new gem discovered in the heart of Luberon in a magical place in Provence: Lourmarin.

The quality of the land and the exposure of the orchards at the Gerbaud Estate allow for the production of an Organic PDO Provence olive oil, fruity, with a beautiful ardor and true aromatic typicality. The Aglandau variety brings peppery notes of artichoke, the Salonenque brings notes of green almond, and the Grossane brings roundness to balance this vegetal juice.

Domaine de Gerbaud, located in Lourmarin in the Luberon massif, is a family farm belonging to the Coetzee family since 2012. Made up of André, retired lawyer, Louisa, anthropologist, and their daughter Carla, artist photographer, the family is embarking on an adventure aimed at ensuring a sustainable future for the estate. They highlight varieties of Provençal olives adapted to the region, producing olive oils with a particular and unique taste. The link with Lourmarin is significant for André, whose Huguenot ancestors lived in South Africa. Louisa, from a farming family, grew up with grandparents raising cattle in the Kalahari, Cara was born in Cape Town between sea and mountains.
The estate produces organic extra virgin olive oil and grows quality grapes thanks to sustainable vineyard management. The family wishes to share the beauty of the site, the taste pleasures of their excellent olive oil, the little-known quality of Luberon wines, and the culinary delights of the region.
