OLIVIERS & CO PRODUCER
Maria Tirpintiri
On her estate, Maria Tirpintiri grows 12 varieties of olives, on trees aged from 0 to 15 years, using natural methods and no chemical fertilizers. Fertilization is based on a rich compost made from manure, pruned branches and, above all, Posidonia, a local seaweed. These practices make the soil fertile and enriched with essential trace elements while capturing CO₂ in the soil.
This unique cultivation model supports biodiversity and transforms the environment: flowers, insects, birds and mammals find refuge here. Today, the estate is a natural paradise, where palms, pines, cypresses, eucalyptus, fig trees, pomegranates and other species coexist harmoniously. Thanks to its practices, Moulin Sigri actively contributes to the climatic balance of western Lesbos, while offering an exceptional product that respects the land and those who cultivate it.
This once-deserted region is now a sanctuary for thousands of birds, insects and mammals, a true oasis of biodiversity.
