About This Recipe
A rich, melt-in-the-mouth cake in which caramelized apples reveal their full sweetness, subtly enhanced by apple vinegar and floral Grand Cru olive oil. A comforting and elegant recipe, perfect for enjoying warm or cold, combining indulgence and finesse for a perfectly balanced dessert.

3 tbsp Frantoiani del Vulture olive oil
2 tbsp Specialty Vinegar with Apple

7 tablespoons flour
7 tablespoons sugar
3 eggs
1 packet vanilla sugar
3 tablespoons milk
4 large apples
100 g butter
50 g ground almonds
Directions
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Peel and slice the apples, then drizzle with apple vinegar. Set aside.
Mix the flour with 4 tablespoons of sugar, 2 eggs, vanilla sugar, olive oil, and milk until you have a smooth batter.
Add the sliced apples. Pour into a buttered cake pan and bake for 25 minutes.
Meanwhile, melt the butter over low heat.
In a bowl, beat the egg and remaining sugar, then add the ground almonds and melted butter.
After 25 minutes of baking, spread over the cake and bake for another 15 to 20 minutes until caramelized. Enjoy warm or cold.
