About This Recipe

A slightly spicy pasta recipe, but so comforting! The touch of lemon adds a light acidity to this delicious dish.

Ingredients

At Oliviers&Co
Basil Olive Oil
Salt & Herbs Mix for Pasta and Salad
Tomato Powder

At the market
Organic Salsa All'Arrabbiata
17.6oz Corn Linguine
1 onion
1 garlic clove
1 can small sardines in olive oil and lemon
1 tbsp caspers in vinegar
1/2 organic lemon

Directions

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

Meanwhile, sauté the chopped onion, crushed garlic, and capers in a large skillet. Add a tablespoon of tomato powder to enhance the flavors, then pour in the Arrabbiata sauce. Let it simmer gently over low heat for 15 minutes.

Grate the zest of half a lemon and add it to the skillet. Adjust the seasoning if needed.

Cook the linguine al dente. Reserve a small ladle of the pasta cooking water, then drain the pasta and add it to the sauce. Stir in the reserved water and bring to a gentle boil, tossing to coat the pasta evenly.

Transfer the pasta to a large serving dish. Place the whole sardines on top, drizzle with olive oil & basil, and lightly sprinkle with tomato powder for a sunny, umami touch. Serve immediately.
