OLIVIERS & CO PRODUCER
Giuseppe de Falco
Here, the olive groves are located at an altitude of 250m, near Buccino, a small town in the "Foce Sele-Tanagro" nature reserve in Campania.
This important agricultural area has all the conditions necessary for the cultivation of olives: the altitude, the exposure and the protection from the wind are added to the richness of the land. To date, the olive groves cover an area of about 35 hectares, which is increasing, with about 16,000 plants, mainly composed of the cultivars Leccino (60%), FS17 (25%), Pendolino (10%), Caratina , Picholine and I-77 (5%). An experimental field of about 3.50 hectares has also been created and contains 10 different olive cultivars.
The De Falco family has been producing olive oil for almost 4 centuries; Giuseppe, passionate and in love with his land, perpetuates the family know-how.
Fontana San Giovanni is a historical partner of the first selections of the very beginning of Oliviers&Co.
