Our products are first and foremost a taste experience and need to be cooked and shared in a daily cuisine inspired by the Mediterranean diet. The aperitif between friends is synonymous with conviviality and sharing. The art of entertaining is a value constantly put forward by Oliviers&Co.
Have a good aperitif with friends !
The most important aspect of an aperitif is the quality of the ingredients chosen. There are many simple and effective recipes to make yourself. Oliviers&Co will help you with ingredients and original and tasty recipes !
Puff pastry
Puff pastry (made with oil) was originally used by the Greeks and Arabs. It was the Crusaders who imported it to France and then to Austria. It is at the origin of many pastries known since the Middle Ages, such as strudel, baklava or vol-au-vent. Today, it is a key ingredient in many homemade appetizers.
We propose very simple recipes for palmiers and black tapenade puff pastries : gourmet, they require very few ingredients, for a successful aperitif!
To vary the pleasures, you can replace the tapenade with our olive-based spreads or our chef's recipes based on vegetables from the garden and even add fresh cheese.
Healthy aperitif
Who said that it was not possible to have fun while eating healthy? Go for a healthy aperitif, with light and fresh gourmet appetizers.
For this, a few simple ideas: replace bread, toast and chips with vegetable sticks to dip in our delicious spreads.
For a gourmet touch that combines softness and crispness, cut your vegetables into thick sticks and bake them in the oven with a drizzle of olive oil for about 30 minutes : enjoy them warm, on their own or dipped in fresh cheese.
Gluten free aperitif
Are you looking for gluten-free aperitif ideas? Replace all bread with a base of seasonal vegetables or homemade gluten-free crackers (made with corn flour, buckwheat flour...), and use our vegetarian spreads as dipping! We also have a range of table olives ideal for an aperitif under the summer sun.
To make a gluten-free homemade cracker recipe, you will only need 5 minutes to make the dough! You will need :
- 120 g corn flour
- 35 g (4 tablespoons) pumpkin seeds
- 4 tablespoons of flax seeds
- 40 g (5 tablespoons) sunflower seeds
- 30 g (4 tablespoons) sesame seeds
- 23 cl boiling water
- 5 cl of olive oil
- a pinch of salt (optional)
Preparation of the recipe :
1- Heat the oven to 150 °C. Boil the water.
2- In a bowl, mix the corn flour, the 4 kinds of seeds, the salt and the oil. Finally add the boiling water and mix with a wooden spoon.
3- Cover the baking sheet with parchment paper, then pour the preparation. Place another sheet of parchment paper on top, and spread the dough by hand, pressing gently to spread. With a knife you can pre-cut the crackers, or break off pieces when they come out of the oven.
4- Bake for about 1 hour in the middle of the hot oven. If you did not pre-cut your crackers before baking, break into several pieces when they are cooled.

What to do for an aperitif ?
To make a success of your aperitif dinner, it is important to vary the choices and consistencies of your preparations: solid bites, liquid recipes or foam presented in glasses, spoon or juice for example. Plan on at least 6 to 7 different savory recipes per person, not including dessert.
As for the savory side, here are some ideas: savory cakes like our cake with two pestos or olives, toasts, individual tartines or tarts, small filled choux and cheese gougères, homemade appetizer cookies...
As your guests are not seated at the table, choose sweet and savory recipes presented in small portions, to be eaten with the fingers or with a simple spoon/fork that does not require the use of a knife.
You will find many sweet recipes on our site, such as our red fruits, lemon curd and olive oil crunchies presented in individual verrines, easy to eat standing up during an aperitif. On the solid side, why not opt for individual pistachio financiers or mini cookies.

Shrimp, a member of the crustacean family, was first commercialized in the 1970s! Available all year round, shrimp are rich in vitamins B3, B12, B9 and A. They also contain iron, zinc, magnesium and iodine necessary for the body.
There are different kinds of shrimp, they can be pink, gray or brown. The pink shrimp is the most commercialized and therefore the best known, even if the gray shrimp is considered the best in terms of taste.
Shrimp can be eaten cold, with lemon and mayonnaise or avocado. But there are many other gourmet recipes such as pan-fried shrimp with honey that you can serve in small verrines for aperitif.

What kind of aperitif in winter ?
Winter aperitif skewers
When it's freezing cold, choose warm recipes such as soups in glasses and ... kebabs that will bring a festive atmosphere and, because of their consistency, will satisfy your guests. To make your kebabs a success, remember to choose ingredients that can fit on a wooden skewer. Season your ingredients before putting them on the skewer, as each ingredient requires a different seasoning. Be careful not to choose ingredients that can blacken in the air, as this may not be visually appealing.
To make your skewers stand up, you can cut a grapefruit in half and stick them on the bulging side of the grapefruit.
Aperitif idea before the party
When you think of winter, raclette is often the order of the day. Before tasting this very hearty meal, it is necessary to start with a light aperitif!
Start with simple raw vegetables (raw cauliflower, cherry tomatoes, radishes...) with a white cheese and herb sauce or a homemade olive oil mayonnaise. Simple carrot sticks can be accompanied by one of our savory spreads. For a more refined presentation, opt for a cold soup verrine, like a pea gazpacho !
